RS2 Software plc has inaugurated its new premises in the Philippines.

Situated in the municipality of Tigbauan, Iloilo, the offices will serve as the company's base in Asia. RS2 is currently carrying out various marketing initiatives in the region.

RS2 Software chief executive officer Mario Schembri attended the inauguration.

"RS2 has been seeking opportunities to set up an office in Asia," he said. "As a global company, Asia is a key region for our business, which offers numerous business opportunities. Furthermore, from here, we will be providing software development and support services to our clients worldwide."

It is envisioned that initially around 25 people will be employed. Guests, who included the Commissioner of Cyber Services Monchito Ibrahim, were also addressed by RS2 Software chairman Reinhold Schäffter.

RS2 Software plc is headquartered in Malta.

Its solutions are focused on the Bankworks suite of application modules.

Bankworks is a powerful modular high-end card management system designed to meet ever growing requirements in the international payment card industry, including card issuing, merchant acquiring, transaction processing, clearing, settlement, reporting, and internet services.
