Revitalising Orme Scientific

A.M. Mangion Ltd has just acquired laboratory supplies company Orme Scientific.

Founded by Edwin Borg in the 1970s, Orme Scientific was a pioneer in the medical, educational and industrial sectors, successfully operating in the provision of laboratory equipment, scientific instruments and chemicals.

The company brings together some of the best brands and a portfolio of long-standing relationships with numerous organisations, including schools, laboratories and the University.

Managing director Jonathan Mangion, who spearheaded the takeover, said: "A. M. Mangion Ltd has a history within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, while Orme Scientific has long been recognised as a leader in the fields of research, scientific education, chemical and clinical analysis, and quality control. The fusion of these two successful backgrounds represents a new chapter for both."

The past few months have been spent on revamping and revitalising Orme Scientific, modernising its practices in line with the group's forward-thinking approaches.
