Obituary
BOOKER. On May 7, at her residence, ELVIRA, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her beloved and devoted sister Mary, her brothers Edwin, widower of Iris, Alexander and his wife Josephine, her sister-in-law Rina, widow of Joseph and her nephews and nieces, Miriam and Tonio Bonavia, Joe and Eileen, Patricia, Keith, Malcolm and Karen, Gillian and George Amato, her very dear great nephews and nieces, Andrew, Anna, Naomi, Sarah, Jonathan, Alex, Matthew, Bettina, Andrew, Emma and Max, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, though donations to the Poor Clares, St Julians, will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
ENGERER. On May 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, ERIC, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Romie, née Kind, his children Alexandra and her husband Wayne Wampler, Anna and her husband Wayne Simmons, Peter and Marica, his sister Maria and her husband Henry Mifsud, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and the staff at Ward M1, Mater Dei Hospital, for their tender care and diligence in their duty. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

Maritime Festival
The Senglea waterfront will be transformed into a naval base during the Maritime Festival to be held on May 17. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., the public will see re-enactments, maritime exhibitions, band parades, traditional music and folk singing or will be able to take a boat trip in the Grand Harbour.
ADHD support group
The Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Family Support Group will hold its annual general meeting at the Junior College, Msida, today at 6.30 p.m..
Baroque concert
A baroque concert by Belgian ensemble Il Sogno Barocco will be held tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the Church of Santa Marija of Bir Miftuħ. To get there, simply take the left fork past the airport roundabout. Tickets, which cost €20, are available from Din l-Art Ħelwa's offices at 133, Melita Street, Valletta or the church itself.
Jewellery of the past
Francesca Balzan, curator of Palazzo Falson, will deliver a presentation about her ongoing research into jewellery used during the rule of the Order of St John at 133, Melita Street, Valletta on Thursday at 6 p.m. Participants must be seated by 5.45 p.m.
Discrimination discussion
A discussion about discrimination is being organised by the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality. It will be held at Gattard House, Blata L-Bajda on Thursday between 5.15 and 7 p.m.
