A 30-year-old motorcyclist who lived in Gozo died following a collision with a Transit van in Marsascala Road, Zabbar this afternoon. The man was born in the UK but had Maltese citizenship.

The police said that following the crash, the motorcyclist was dragged under a car. The van was being driven by a 26-year-old man from Marsascala and the car by a 34-year-old woman from Kalkara.

The motorcyclist died in the ambulance on the way to hospital.
