The hunters' federation (FKNK) said this evening that the European Court of Justice presided by five Judges today heard the forceful submissions made by the Attorney General for Malta as well as submissions made by the lawyer representing the EU Commission in the Case that the Commission has instituted against Malta regarding spring hunting in 2004/5/6/7.
This sitting was convened after the court had accepted Malta's request to make oral submissions in this case.
The Court will not, at this stage require the opinion of the European Attorney General but will proceed to submit its decision based on Today's pleas by the parties as well as the voluminous written submissions that had already been presented by both parties.
Judges presiding in today's hearing asked questions to both parties in order to clarify certain issues.
The Federation for Hunting and Conservation - Malta (FKNK) was also represented in Luxembourg by Dr. Yve lecocq , the General Secretary of the Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation of the EU (FACE).
