A unique oversize aviator prototype wristwatch by Patek Philippe, completed in 1936, is expected to fetch between $260,000 and $440,000 at an auction to be held in Geneva, Switzerland by Christie's auction house.
Other items on display include a coloured pearl necklace by Cartier, the price of which should at least reach nearly $200,000, a 30.52 carat diamond ring and a Fancy Intense Yellow diamond ring which should sell between $220,000 and $270,000 and $970,000 and $1,150,000 respectively, and a highly unusual 18K gold wristwatch with fur collar signed Rolex, Orchid, Caméléon model. This wristwatch was manufactured in 1959 with 1400 nickel-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, silvered brushed dial, applied gold baton numerals and circular textured case.
Reuters said that the vast selection of exquisite wristwatches will go on sale on May 11 while the jewellery will be auctioned on May 13.
