One in five watch no TV
More than one fifth of the population do not watch television and almost half do not listen to radio, according to a quarterly audience survey by the Broadcasting Authority.
Covering the first three months of the year, the survey found that television viewing fell by almost seven per cent from last October, November and December but rose by almost two per cent from January, February and March last year.
TVM was the most popular station, followed by One TV, Net TV and Smash TV. Family TV and Favourite TV, the two most recent stations, were more or less equally popular.
More than one tenth of respondents also said they regularly watched teleshopping programmes, mostly on Smash TV, followed by TVM, One TV, ITV, Family TV and Net TV.
Radio listening was more or less constant with previous figures. The most popular was Bay Radio, followed by Super One Radio, Calypso Radio, RTK, Radju Marija, Radju Malta, Radio 101, XFM, Magic Radio, Capital Radio, Smash Radio and Radju Parlament 106.6.

No wonder Maltese tv is rubbish most of the time its repeats, politics or ads and more ads, and talking about a fatty boom boom nation now how do you expect our Maltese nation to be slim & healthy. when we trun on the telly during the day, there is always some woman showing us how to cook, if my better half or my misses can't cook by now i 'll replace her with a take away.(just jokeing) no seriously i would prefer to watch Italian tv or foreign programes from my sat.installattion. cause Maltese tv is still not quite got the knack that the Italians have, thats my opinion.

20% do not watch TV or do not watch Maltese TV?
Does the BA put foreign/satellite channels in the equation when carrying out surveys?
