Bob Dylan tops UK charts again

Singer Bob Dylan's latest release went straight to the top of the UK album charts yesterday, almost 40 years since his last number one, the Official UK Charts Company has said.

Bob Dylan's Together Through Life, his 33rd studio album, was his seventh British number one and his first since New Morning headed the charts in 1970.

Coventry trio The Enemy were new at number two with Music For The People, Lady Gaga's The Fame dropped from top to number three, and American R&B singer-songwriter Beyonce was fourth with I Am Sasha Fierce.

Lily Allen was unchanged in fifth with "It's Not Me It's You".

Ghanaian-born singer Tinchy Stryder stayed top of the singles charts with Number 1, while synthesizer duo La Roux remained at number two with In For The Kill.

DJ Ironik and rapper Chipmunk's reworking of Tiny Dancer, featuring Elton John who recorded the original version, was a new entry at three.

Scottish singer-songwriter Calvin Harris was at four with I'm not Alone ahead of Lady Gaga's Poker Face.
