Zlatan Ibrahimovic was within his rights to angrily gesture at his own fans in Inter's 2-0 win over Lazio on Saturday, coach Jose Mourinho said.
The Sweden striker, who is considering his future at the club after they again flopped in the Champions League, hit one goal and set up Sulley Muntari for the other to put leaders Inter on the brink of a fourth successive scudetto.
Shortly before scoring he was heckled by some fans for losing possession and after slamming in a trademark strike, he put his finger to his lips to tell the San Siro to be quiet.
"It's a logical reaction for a player who has done so much for Inter. He is a player who at the moment is hugely dedicated to the team," Mourinho told Sky television.
"There are moments of frustration for us in a game, the fans want more, we want more.
"But whistling one of their own players is not right."
