Colourful plastic bottle caps make Green statement
Saving bottle caps for GreenPak Earth Garden Festival.
GreenPak is urging consumers to collect plastic bottle caps over the coming three weeks to deposit them in special bins at the GreenPak Earth Garden Festival to be held at Ta' Qali on May 23 and 24.
Soft drink, table water and detergent liquid bottle caps should be collected and taken to the festival to be recycled, GreenPak's communications manager, Denise Vassallo, said.
To encourage public participation in the initiative, GreenPak representatives will be giving free gifts during the two-day event.
Visitors to the festival can send an SMS naming the GreenPak mascot and participate in a draw for a Fuji A610 digital camera and a Canon Pixma1300 photo printer. More information will be available on site.
GreenPak, a leading waste recovery scheme in Malta, is the main sponsor of this year's event.

Why not slap a €2 tax on each plastic bottle?
Go on don't be CHICKENS.

Now THAT'S a good idea. Recycle the cap and throw the rest (the majority of plastic) of the container away. Will some please wake me up, this must be a dream!
