Kirill Micallef Stafrace was born in 1970. He received his secondary education at St. Aloysius' College and graduated MD from the University of Malta in 1993. He proceeded to the University of London where he graduated MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Dr Micallef Stafrace is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine of Ireland and Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine of UK.

He is a senior lecturer at the University of Malta and in 2005 Dr Micallef Stafrace was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the European Federation of Sports Medicine Associations (EFSMA).

He is an elected Director of the Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) and was chairman of the MOC's Medical Commission for over 10 years. He is also the president of the Maltese Association of Sports & Exercise Medicine (MASEM). Dr Micallef Stafrace has been the medical officer of Sliema Wanderers FC for the past eleven years.

He has attended several conferences both locally and internationally, presenting papers on various subjects, several of which were subsequently published in professional journals.

He is a keen sportsman and outdoor enthusiast and has participated in a number of athletic challenges including the first Kilimanjaro Challenge, two Lifecycles and two Kerygma volleyball marathons.

His slogan for the forthcoming MEP elections is ‘United for a better future' as Kirill strongly believes that only if people put their heads together can goals be achieved.
