Seminar on children

A one-day seminar highlighting matters requiring urgent attention with regards to children in Gozo is being organised by the Office of the Commissioner for Children at the Grand Hotel in Mġarr on Thursday.

The seminar will cover topics related to poverty and social exclusion, children in conflict with the law, children and the law, education, health, work, sport, culture and the environment.

After last year's launch of the manifesto for children, it was felt that public feedback was needed.

So, following the seminar, the Commissioner for Children will be publishing a document listing comments and suggestions made by the public to the authorities and will lobby for improvements in this sector.
