Plant health workers given go ahead to uproot infected trees
The Gozo Courts this morning refused a warrant of prohibitory injunction to stop Plant Health Directorate employees from uprooting citrus trees at San Blas in Gozo.
The warrant had been issued on Wednesday when after the workers were threatened and attacked because they were uprooting the trees, which were infected.
The Rural Affairs Ministry said today that the court's decision showed that the department officials had acted correctly.
