Go has once again teamed up with Arka Foundation and is supporting the Gozo charity's ongoing initiatives towards enhancing living standards for persons with disabilities in the local community. Earlier this year, Go - Malta's leading quad-play telecom provider - responded to an appeal for assistance and as a result the Arka Foundation now enjoys avant-garde telecom services in the form of high speed broadband Internet and outstanding digital TV - powered by Go.
Meanwhile, Go again supported the annual fund-raising campaign in aid of the Arka Foundation and installed all the communication services necessary for donation lines - free of charge. The marathon, broadcast live on two TV stations direct from Arka Foundation in Gozo, raised over €28,500, and will continue throughout April.
In line with its drive towards enhancing the living standards for residents and carers at Arka Foundation, over the past few weeks, Go installed the Gold+ digital TV package at the charity's Respite Centre in Ghajnsielem..
The Arka Foundation is a non-profit, voluntary organisation with a mission to safeguard the social rights of persons with various disabilities.
Arka aims primarily to care for persons with special needs, simultaneously offering them educational opportunities, therapeutic services as well as training support. "Go is proud to support the ongoing efforts of Arka Foundation towards improved the quality of life for disadvantaged persons.
Sponsoring humane initiatives with a strong social implication, such as the Arka Foundation cause underpins Go's corporate social responsibility and further reflects its strong social conscience," said David Kay, Go's CEO during a recent visit to the Arka Foundation at Għajnsielem.
