AC Milan want loan signing David Beckham back next year, chief executive Adriano Galliani said today amid speculation that Tottenham Hotspur want to buy the England midfielder from Los Angeles Galaxy.

"The agreements with the Galaxy are very clear. We have got what we desired and that is to have David until the end of the season. Beckham has been a fundamentally important acquisition," Galliani was quoted as saying by his club's website (www.acmilan.com).

"I hope that Beckham returns to us in January but from now until the January transfer market he will definitively be in Los Angeles."

British media reported that Tottenham may seek to buy the 33-year-old, who is due to return to Galaxy on June 30 after getting his two-month loan with Milan extended, at the end of the 2009 Mayor League Soccer season.
