The Foundation for Educational Services has lost one of its best assets - Rita Farrugia.

Rita was on loan with the foundation from the Directorate for Educational Services. Her background as a kindergarten assistant helped the foundation in developing services aimed at helping parents involve themselves in their children's educational journey from the earlier years. She fully believed that parents need to involve themselves and, in her own imaginative and simple way, she showed one and all how beautiful parental involvement in education can be.

Rita was much more than an excellent worker. She was a devoted mother and wife. For us at the foundation she was an exceptional friend. Her sense of humour and honesty were not occasional occurrences of her personality but constant values, always present and readily shared with others.

The chairman, board and members of staff at the Foundation for Educational Services would like to extend their warmest and deepest sympathy to Rita's husband Mario and son Walter-Anthony for their terrible loss. We feel extremely lucky to have shared our professional life with Rita Farrugia.
