Obituary
GRECH. On April 20, MARIA STELLA, widow of Carmelo, passed away peacefully at home, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at the venerable age of 95. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved sons Ġorġ, Joseph and Stephanie, her daughters-in-law Margaret and Jennifer, her in-laws Mary and Marcel, her grandchildren Christopher, Julian, Sarah, Armand, Jerome, Matthew, Jonathan, Claude, Kashel and Yasmine, her great-grandchildren James, Steve, Kyra, Amy, Max, Alexandra and Alexandra, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves her residence today at 8.45 a.m. for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
GRECH. On April 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELO of Senglea, residing at Fgura, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Melita, his children Anthony, Joseph and his wife Catherine, Paul and his wife Tania, Jacqueline and her husband John, Rosianne and Philip, his beloved grandchildren Darren, Kersten, Matthew, Nicole, Christian, Brandon and Sherika, his brother, his sister and his in-laws, their respective spouses and families, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Fgura, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Photography competition
Auto Sales is organising a photography competition to mark its 80 years of operation. Participants must cleverly photograph any past or present Mercedes, Smart and Renault. The two winning photographers will get a trip for two to Cyprus.

World Book Day
The National Book Council will today mark World Book Day when journalist Julia Farrugia interviews author Ġużè Stagno at 7 p.m. at St James Cavalier, Valletta. During the activity Maltese publications will be on sale.
Malta's early music
Richard Divall, associate professor of music at the University of Melbourne, will deliver a lecture organised by the Mediterranean Institute on the early music of Malta and Australia. The lecture will be delivered at the Aula Magna, Old University, St Paul Street, Valletta on May 7 at 7 p.m.
Persons with disability
A meeting for parents of children attending day centres, organised by the National Parents' Society of Persons with Disability, will be held at the Pembroke church on Saturday at 9 a.m.
