Mhux il-faqar biss qered meta iffriza l-pagi ghal 5 snin shah, imma qered il-pajjiz kollu. Araw kemm kien gholla IL-HOBZ, IL-HALIB, IL-LAHAM u dak li ma gholiex ma kienx jista' jidhol. Araw il-petrol. Xejn xejn kien ghoddu qered id-demokrazija. Ghalhekk ghajruh kif ghajruh shabu stess u ippruvaw jahbtu ghalih.

Is it possible that you can honestly say that you don't care what happened in the 80's? You don't care when you see your country moving fast towards dictatorship? You don,t care when you see a number of well known criminals doing whatever they like and the police looking helpless? You don't care if an innocent citizen is tortured or murdered by those who are supposed to defend him? You don't care when our standard of living in those dark days was not much better than that of countries of the third world? It's a real pity if you don't care because you'll have a chance of reliving the past. Or maybe you are too young to remember.

thats why malta will not go forward we are all too politically divided. politics is not like supporting your football team. we should all vote for good politics and not because you were born blue or red .wake up Malta. those days are over. pathetic.. i am not ashamed to say i am a floater if the country went backward after 5 years i will and will again vote for the next party in line. i don't care about the 80s we are living in the year 2009. wake up

OF COURSE we WILL NEVER forget what Dom Mintoff did for Malta. Certainly NOT Not even il-lejburisti will forget that. In fact it is exactly what Mintoff did for us that helped Eddie fenech Adami achieve such greatness. It was EFA who delivered us from the bondage of slavery. But if you are under forty you'll find it difficult to uinderstand what Mintoff did for us. Ask those moderating these comments - to mention just one example.

A few words that mean a lot. Our Lord guided Eddie with those principles, values and moralities which no one can ever question or doubt. For us who form the next generation Eddie provides the example which is worth to follow. Thank you Eddie.

The Good Lord gave Malta lots of gifts, when considering that we are so small and do not have prime resourses, we are still living. But I am sure that it wasn`t just one person who kept us going through out all these years. For me all politicians from all parties that have served Malta for these last 50 years have done their out most, some of them had the responsibility more than the others, because they had to assume the leadership, Dr.Eddie Fenech Adami was one of them,and he did a great job, but we cannot forget what Dom Mintoff did.
