Senglea is to hold a Maritime Festival next month that will recall its central role in Malta's maritime history.

The event is being organised by the local council in collaboration with the Secretariat for Public Dialogue and Information.

It will be held on Sunday, May 17 with activities between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the promenade .

Amongst the attractions will be the lifting of ship’s mast at the Macina, re-enactments, exhibitions, a fishing competition, band marches, folk singing and music and Dghajsa/guided tours.

Historic places and museums will be open.
