Fabio Cannavaro's experience would be an asset to Juventus, goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon said today following media reports the club were keen on re-signing the 35-year-old defender.

"Cannavaro could be useful to Juventus, like I think he would be for any team. He is a great player with exceptional experience," Buffon told reporters.

Cannavaro, whose contract at Real Madrid runs out at the end of the season, had wanted to end his career at hometown club Napoli but their president Aurelio De Laurentiis has said the 2006 world player of the year is too old to sign.
