People of all ages will today be able to participate in a variety of physical activities, ranging from dance and cycling to abseiling and martial arts in Victoria in a campaign being organised over the weekend to raise awareness about healthy living.

Activities kicked off on Friday and will continue today in various squares and roads in Victoria that is being pedestrianised for the occasion. Throughout the weekend bars and restaurants in the area are also offering healthy meals as specials.

Victoria mayor Robert Tabone said the local council decided to hold the weekend of activities to help raise awareness about the importance of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

The Healthy Village weekend is being organised by the Victoria council in collaboration with the Malta Sports Council and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Sports.
