this was stated by none other than Mohandas Gandhi ....now if anyone claims to have more morals than Gandhi....

Sadly, as this cartoon so ably illustrates from another point of view, some humans do not even make even it as far as two months' gestation before they are put to death. And there seems to be more love for animals than for humans in this day and age which so many tell us is "The 21st Century" which is some kind of byword that makes everything alright!
They say a society can be measured by the way it treats its animals!
