Melita Mobile launches per second charging

Melita Mobile has introduced per second billing allowing customers to talk for as long as they need to with call charges applied per second for the duration of the call.

In 2006, Melita pioneered per second billing on fixed line telephony and was the first to introduce this pricing model on fixed-line calls. This charge-out concept has now been extended to Melita Mobile.

The introduction of per second billing on Melita Mobile continues to simplify the tariff and pricing structures of this mobile service.

"With per second billing, a single call rate, no time window and shorter contract periods, we believe that our price structure can't get any simpler," Melita Mobile marketing manager Alison Bezzina said.

Per second billing applies for all new and existing Melita Mobile customers.

Melita said that thousands of users have switched to Melita Mobile since the launch on February 1.
