BoV credit cards migrate to EMV Chip, PIN technology

Bank of Valletta has migrated its Visa Flypass Business credit cards to EMV Chip and PIN technology and sent them to customers.

"The migration of the Visa Flypass Business credit card base is another important milestone in the bank's plans to offer its customers the added security and convenience benefits associated with the new Chip and pin cards," said Michael Galea, executive head responsible for cards business at BoV.

"We have reached a point where all our Cashlink Visa debit cards and premium credit cards have been migrated to EMV Chip and PIN cards.

We have now embarked on migrating our classic Visa credit cards to the new technology, completing the migration of all credit card products," he added, highlighting that the bank can today offers its customers both a debit and a credit product that are SEPA compliant.

The BoV Visa Flypass Business credit card features a number of attractive benefits to the cardholder, including 90-day purchase protection insurance on purchases made locally and overseas, free travel insurance, Air Malta KM points linked to card usage, fast track check-in through Air Malta business class and other benefits.
