Foreign Minister Tonio Borg has had separate meetings with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and Foreign Fawzi Saloukh.

They discussed regional issues and bilateral relations including the reconstitution of a Malta-Lebanon Business Council to promote trade relations between the two countries. An updated double taxation agreement was also signed.

Dr Borg this afternoon flew to Jordan on the last leg of his tour, which started with talks with Syrian President Assad in Damascus.
