The Malta Standards Authority has withdrawn two insecticides from the market because of a chemical risk.

The insecticides, imported from Italy and both in powder form, are Agrimix and Sole Verde.

Agrimix was withdrawn because its active substance is fenitrothion and Sole Verde because its active substance is diazinon. Both substances are not authorised by the European directive on the placing of plant protection products on the market.

Both products were voluntarily withdrawn from the market and the products in stock are being destroyed.
