Emirates said it would increase the number of its weekly flights to Beirut, Dammam in Saudi Arabia and to Teheran.
The airline already has an extensive network in the Middle East, covering more than 10 cities with almost 200 flights a week.
It operates from Dubai to Malta daily, stopping in Cyprus on the way.
Despite the global economic downturn, statistics just released by the International Air Transport Association show that the demand for services in the Middle East rose by just over three per cent in January.
