Bugeja first in field target competition

The Malta Allied Airgunners Club (MAAC) recently held its second field target competition of the year at the Victoria Range, Tal-Ħandaq.

As expected, most of the shooters used pre-charged pneumatic air-rifles as they took aim at a 30-target course, split over two rounds.

In this competition, no designated prone shots were applied but shooters were able to fire at this position when a freestyle shot was applied.

A third of the total targets were designated shots of standing and kneeling with the rest being freestyle.

James Bugeja (23/30) finished first, a point ahead of David Giardina (22/30). Alfred Cini made a comeback to claim third place, 21/30.

The next MAAC competition, a hunter field target shoot, is scheduled for April 26.

Top five scores
1. J. Bugeja 23/30; 2. D. Giardina 22/30; 3. A. Cini 21/30; 4. E. Camilleri 19/30; 5. K. Debattista, G. Gouder, M. Spiteri 18/30.
