Armed men rob home-alone woman
Two armed and hooded men knocked on the door of a woman's house, put a gun to her throat and robbed her of €11,000 yesterday morning.
The police said the 46-year-old woman, who was alone at home in Mosta at the time, was pushed inside as soon she answered the door.
One of the robbers pushed a gun against her throat and demanded all the cash she had at home.
They made off with about €11,000 in cash. Nothing else was stolen from the house and the woman, although suffering from shock, was not injured.
The incident took place at about 9.40 a.m. in Britannia Street.
Magistrate Giovanni Grixti was informed about the case and launched an inquiry with the assistance of a number of court-appointed experts.

And since when was it illegal to keep anything at all within your home? The fact is that we are having armed hold-ups and burglaries almost every day - in a wafe-thin country!

@ J Farrugia. Maybe it was the money that saved her life.

What were è11,000 doing in her home? Keeping money at home is not on today. And no excuses.
