One young person will be given the chance to show off his or her drawing talent during a summer television programme for children.

Francis Ebejer commemoration

The Department of English Students Association will commemorate the literary achievement of author and artist Francis Ebejer on April 30 at 7.30 p.m. at the Malta Institute of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce at Palazzo De La Salle, Republic Street, Valletta.

Pope's anniversary

Archbishop Paul Cremona and Apostolic Nuncio Tommaso Caputo will mark the fourth anniversary of the election of Pope Benedict XVI on Saturday at 6 p.m. at St John's Co-Cathedral.

Kirkop streets closed

St Benedict Street, St Rocco Street, Parish Street and High Street in Kirkop will be closed to traffic on Sunday between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Public buses towards Valletta will be diverted through Mdina Road and Danny Cremona Street.

Aid for Gaza victims

A reception in aid of the injured residents of the Gaza Strip will be held at the St Ignatius College's Boys' Secondary School, Ħandaq, limits of Qormi on April 25 at 7.30 p.m. It is being organised by the Arabic Cultural Information Society.

Foundation's donation

The Helping Hands Foundation donated more than €10,000 to Dar Il-Kaptan, collected in only about a month through the sale of its family magazine.

So far, the foundation has donated more than €500,000 to different charities.
