Borg meets Syrian President Assad

Foreign Minister Tonio Borg has had a meeting in Damascus with Syrian President Bashar al Assad. The talks were held at the beginning of a Middle East tour which will see Dr Borg also visit Lebanon and Jordan.

Bilateral relations and regional peace and cooperation are on the agenda.

Dr Borg also met Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Almoallem.
