Muammar Gaddafi's thoughts on 'Islamic victory'

While zapping on the internet I came to a Muammar Gaddafi speech to an Arab audience shown on a video and relayed on U-Tube, which I believe is of interest to some of our naïve citizens.

Muammar Gaddafi stated:

"We have 50 million Muslims in Europe. There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe, without swords, without guns, without military conquest.

"The 50 million in Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.

"Allah mobilises the Muslim nation of Turkey and adds it to the European Union.

"That's another 50 million Muslims.

"There will be 100 million Muslims in Europe.

"Albania, which is a Muslim country has already entered the EU.

"Bosnia which is a Muslim country has already entered the EU. Fifty per cent of its citizens are Muslims.

"Europe is in a predicament and so is America.

"They should agree to become Islamic in the course of time or else declare war on the Muslims."

The above presents a genuine reflection of the thoughts of Col Gaddafi.

Most Maltese may vividly remember the times, in the early eighties , during the Mintoff-Gaddafi "brotherhood" era , when foreigners , who started to frequent the island in their multitude, utter " MALTA TAGHNA" !!!
Was this perhaps the beginning of the "............ Silent Invasion" of Malta ?!!

Have you interviewed them all Inglott?
Whatever their religion Malta cannot allow ILLEGAL immigrants to come and stay here.
They must all be expelled back to their own countries.

Have you been interviewing all of them Inglott?

Even if they are Christians they do not belong in Malta and should be sent back.
J S Borg (on 14/4/09)
Personally I cannot follow the line of thought that Muslim countries can join Europe. They insist that Christians have to integrate their own country to the Muslims way of life and laws. Do we ever hear muslims who live locally or anywhere protesting about the application of sharia law on innocent people as especially young innocent girls. True to Colonel Gaddafi's words within fifty years Europe will be a very poor muslim continent. Malta, within 15 to 20 years.

I saw this video club weeks ago and it informed my subsequent opinion on the matter. It is so blatantly awful one is almost tempted to dismiss it as a hoax. But the facts speak for themselves. Mr. Inglott reassures us that many of the asylum seekers are Christian. How many exactly? And are they the sort that practice witchcraft like the Angolans admonished last week? And what if they are Christian? Integration is hardly automatic for that. And marriages? And offspring? And shifts in demography? In tiny Malta? Do not make me laugh. Please.
As I said, facts speak for themselves. The inistence in Italy, In France, in UK, that Christian symbols are 'played down'. By Christian asylum-seekers? I think not.
If Verheugen theorises that Europe needs to shore up its population to match the massive Chinese one, I am afraid to have to say that boosting European population growth by millions of a totally alien group - Christian or Muslim and whatever, it matters not - is not the way forward. Not if Europe puts any value at all on its centuries old culture, Institutions and artefacts. Never mind about anything else.
E. Inglott (on 14/4/09)
Col. Gadaffi's speech has nothing to do with illegal immigration in Malta for many of the asylumseekers that reach Malta are Christian.

As well, as also previously stated, Bosnia and Albania are not EU members.

I would leave crack pot conspiracy theories for those who care. Actually I have a different interpretation to Gaddafi's thoughts on Islam or Muslims in Europe in the light of two or three facts, both Gaddafi and Islam got nothing to do with.

Fact one: The average birth rate within western countries including the EU is down to about 1.5 children per woman.

Fact two: The number of Church goers is declining, adding to this the EU is based on NO-GOD constipation.

Fact three: Global shrinking economy, securing energy to Europe coupled with USA-UK’ support, gets Turkey very close to join the block.
(I am expecting only the third fact may raise some eye brows)

This is no news at all. Gaddafi has been preaching this for a long time. The trouble is that European politicians are not taking the message. Perhaps they do when it is too late. In many European countries freedom of speech is often curtailed because of offending the Muslims minorities. Imagine when these minorities get bigger what happens. The consoling thing is that many of us will not be here.

A must-read book: 'While Europe Slept' by Bruce Bawer, would further explain Joseph P. Borg's his opinion on Islam.

A quote from Koran Sura 5.51 'Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number. God does not guide the wrongdoers'.
Louis Gialanze (on 14/4/09)
Alas, naive europeans who uphold the principles of human rights are also oblivious to the fact that in the majority of muslim countries, worship of a different religion is not looked upon kindly. Quo vadis europe?
Patrik Larsson (on 14/4/09)
What people fail to realise in the comments here is that this does not put neither muslims or immigrants in a bad light. Rather it puts Gadaffi in a bad light. I will personally make no decision, or let my opinion be affected by what a person such as Gadaffi says.

Speaking on Bondi+ yesterday Gunter Verheugen painted an enlightening picture of what our future as EU members can hold. He said that in order to match the growing economies of China and India, the EU needs to continue to expand. The catchment area he referred to was North Africa and from there inwards. It is now pretty obvious why, to Maltese objections about illegals the EU attituide remains "grin and bear it". forcing intgegration down our gullets. The EU wants us to grow accustomed to integrating with muslims. For Gunter Verheugen, adding Turkey's 70 million muslims to the EU is just a numbers exercise to match China's gigantic market. To sweeten the pill for Maltese, who may still want to maintain their own values inside a future EU as more and more muslim nations are added, Verheugen said that Malta is the best placed country in this scenario because of its good relations with Arab countries. Verheugen is again painting a pretty picture for the Maltese to digest. The realities of Malta 10 years from now, that Lou Bondi asked Verheugen about, will be a far cry from the colourful textures of Maltese relevance woven by the EU commisioner.

Our friend and nieghbour Gaddafi may be crazy but he always states the truth. I have a certian respect for the man. Love or hate him he knows what he wants and by hook or by crook he will get it. So, if you read between the lines you may come to the conclusion that Malta is being invaded by muslims under the direction of our good friend Gaddafi. Thank you for sharing with us this little bit of news from the man himself.

Here we have it straight from the horse's mouth. Those persons naive enough to think that muammar wants to stop illegal migration had better come down from the clouds. This exodus into europe is well planned and organised. A friend of mine who works in Libya told me last week that the boats used to transport these unfortunates are being constructed in broad daylight in Libyan ports. The sad thing is that the crisis is plastered to our faces and yet thare are those who, for some obscure reason try to downplay it. And that's exactly what muammar wants.
Anna Farrugia (on 14/4/09)
This is no news to me. I've been saying this for at least the past 20 years!
But people that I speak to and with do not believe. One does not have to
be Einstein to see certain things. They're right there under our nose!
LGalea (on 14/4/09)
Anyone especially the JRS and the NGO's who defend the illegal immigrants instead of our country and Maltese citizens still not able to understand what is behind the illegal immigration?

Don't continue to bury your heads in the sand and let us get all the illegal immigrants OUT of Malta.
Peter Sammut (on 14/4/09)
Mr Borg, how right you are. This problem had already been highlighted by various authors, namely by Oriana Fallaci, Robert Spencer and others.
r sammut (on 14/4/09)

Many are failing to realise that our joining to EU is making the whole Gaddafi's 'Islamic victory' that 100km much closer! The illegal immigrants' flow has since, blown out of all proportion and expect more!

Those suggesting turning them back, should themselves try and have a nice chat about the matter personally with Mr Gaddafi, who knows?

Burden sharing between Italy and us...and I was of the belief that the EU consisted of more countries than just these 2!

Joseph Cauchi (on 14/4/09)
Could we have the site in question please, so as to access it?

Thanks.
Adrian Tabone (on 14/4/09)
Prosit Mr.Joseph Borg for highlighting these quotes. Although these words are 100% true, few people know about them...I hope Dr.Gonzi does.

This is why Dr.Gonzi must remember that we are alone in this crisis. The EU knows perfectly Gaddafi's vision mentioned in your letter, so they will not 'really' ever help us. Helping us through burden sharing would mean that the so called 'Fortress Europe' would be penetrated and Gaddafi's vision becomes more of a reality.

The PN must suspend the obligations unless they want to be remembered in history books as the party who did nothing about the silent invasion of what was once a gem in the Mediterranean
Joe Borg Camilleri (on 14/4/09)
How many Muslims there are in Europe I have no idea but I believe that we are united in our diversity with our Muslim brothers and sisters. (EU motto). Turkey, an EU candidate country, considers itself as a secular state. Albania and Bosnia may in future be potential members but so far they are not members as stated in the letter. When these countries will be ready to join the European Community, we will welcome them in our community.

A principle of fundamental human rights is the freedom of worship while also it is not wise to judge an individual on grounds of his or her religion.
