Driver's legal questions
I would like the Police Commissioner to answer the following queries, since most of his officers give different interpretations and one is left in doubt as to whether one is breaking the law or not.
1. Is it legal or not to put the telephone number on your car when you decide to sell it?
2. Is it legal or not to tow another car using an appropriate tow rope bought over the counter from shops selling car parts and accessories?
Are these simply rumours to direct us to make use of the services of car dealers and tow truck companies?

I can understand your frustration; but as a law abiding citizen I purposely wrote an open letter to the Police Commissioner so that everyone would know where he stands. I have personally taken up the issue with Police officers and Wardens and they give you the impression that they are treading on uneven ground. What I am asking for is an unequivocal statement from the Police to clear up the air. As for challenges I always answered a challenge when I know I am right.

The authorities are after our money.
Challenge them and don't let them get your money.

Stick the for sale sign on the outside of your window, that way if you get ticketed you can claim somebody else stuck it there.

If you fail to get a reply, I suggest that if you do get a ticket for having a telephone number affixed on your car window (as long as it is on a side window and not obstucting your vision) appear in court or at the Tribunal, and ask on which traffic regulation or law have you been booked, normally it will be a legal notice no. ------, only then you will know if you have actually did something against the law. Infact there has been a number of cases recently where people have been booked by wardens on some infringments invented by local councils which are not valid at law.
