We have been told that every illegal immigrant kept in detention centres in Malta is costing the government €18.29 a day. This is €512.12 every four weeks. Yet, citizens on an invalidity pension receive €434.44 every four weeks, or €77.68 less than what an immigrant costs the government.

How about correcting this anomaly so that at least Maltese citizens on an invalidity pension start receiving the same amount as that received by these 'irregular' visitors who do not have to worry about paying water and electricity bills, etc.?
