Pawla Wolves Assikura are the winners of this season's Premier Division Mixed League title after beating rivals Birkirkara BC 3-0 in a five-match series to assign the title.
The Paolites, now champions for the third successive time, were enjoying a 2-0 lead after the initial two encounters.
A win for Birkirkara in the third match would have put them back in contention but it was not to be even though the Wolves had regular Joanne Cassar missing through injury.
It was their captain, Kenneth Vella, who set them on their way after beating Robert Salomone 21-13, 21-11 in the opening singles.
Didi Rasamayii followed in his footsteps by having the better of Maria Borg, 21- 9 21- 8.
The men's doubles was a more balanced affair. Sensing that the match was slipping from their grasp, the Birkirkara pair - Stefan Salomone and Aldo Polidano - played an aggressive game that saw them take the first set 21-15.
However, Kenneth Vella and David Cole reacted well and came from behind to win the second one 21-18, before proceeding to take also the decisive third 21-19.
Making the most of their momentum, the Paolites did not falter in the women's doubles and opened a 4-0 lead. Here, Didi Rasamayii/Catherine Dimech won 21-13, 21-18 over Fiorella Farrugia and Maria Borg.
Birkirkara scored a consolation point by taking the final mixed doubles through Farrugia and Stefan Salomone who had the better of Dimech and Cole.
