Young people who wish to experience the sanctity of the Holy Land and visit the landmark places mentioned in the Gospel can join Archbishop Paul Cremona on a pilgrimage this summer.

The idea for the pilgrimage came about during Mgr Cremona's visit to the Holy Land last year when he met a group of young girls who were on a journey to strengthen their faith. He thought of organising a pilgrimage for Maltese young people to give them a chance to meet Christ, he said.

"It was my first visit and it was a great experience standing on Christ's tomb - I felt a special presence." The pilgrimage, between July 5 and 13 will cost €795 and will stop at Nazareth, Tabor Mountain, Kafarnahum, Cana, Galilee, Jericho, Bethlehem and Jerusalem.

Sponsors will be available for youths who cannot afford the fee. More information is available by calling 2124 2254/2148 4506 or by sending an e-mail to comalt@ofm.org.mt or info@kdz.org.mt.
