Impetus Europe assists in employment aid programme
Impetus Europe Consulting Group has been engaged by the Maltese Employment and Training Corporation to assist in the implementation of the Employment Aid Programme. Through this scheme employers can receive a subsidy to the wage costs if they hire jobseekers that fit into certain categories.
The amount of the subsidy employers can apply for varies according to the different categories, including: unemployed youths, registered disabled people, single parents, individuals re-entering working life, the unemployed, and persons over the age of 50 who do not have a job or who risk losing his or her job. Impetus Europe is a private company specialising in EU affairs, EU-related consultancy work and public affairs, which will be introducing the Employment Aid Programme worth over €8 million in EU funds and its benefits, to local employers over the coming months.
"Especially in the current climate of economic slowdown, employers should not stop investing in their most important asset, their human resources. The Employment Aid Programme is an incentive for employers to continue engaging staff", said Marvin Cuschieri of Impetus Europe.
"An employer will receive a subsidy equivalent to a minimum of 50 per cent of the wage costs and employer's national insurance in the case of recruitment of persons," Mr Cuschieri said. "And in the case of recruiting a person with disability the subsidy will rise to 75 per cent of the actual wage costs for the first year, and 60 per cent of the subsequent second and third year," he added.
Employers who are interested in the Employment Aid Programme can contact Impetus Europe for more information or to set an appointment for a meeting on 2124 1817 or send an e-mail at info@impetuseruope.com.
