Bruno Farrugia, 27, of Ghaxaq, this morning admitted to stealing tools in 11 instances between September 2007 and October last year.

Police inspector Daniel Zammit told the court that Mr Farrugia had stolen various tools from construction sites all over the island amounting to over €232 in each case.

Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona jailed Mr Farrugia for two years suspended for four after taking into consideration that he admitted to the crimes in an early stage of the proceedings and that he had fully cooperated with the police during investigations.
