The Yamato Dojo will have one of Europe's top Aikido practitioners, Renato Tamburelli, as guest to a seminar between April 17 and 19.
The two-day seminar will include training sessions and particular attention to the newly-opened junior club. There will also be a demonstration open to the public on April 18.
Sensei Tamburelli has been practising Aikido for over 35 years. Aikido is a Japanese martial art that focuses primarily on self-defence.
In the late 1980s, Tamburelli was one of the founding members of the Aiko organisation which is under the direction of Nobuyoshi Tamura Sensei. Yamato Dojo are officially affiliated to the Aiko.
This will be Sensei Tamburelli's second visit to the Yamato Dojo club. He led a seminar and officiated at the opening of the club's new headquarters in Ħamrun a year ago.
