Golden Wedding
GRAZIO ELLUL and ELISABETH BOSS
Formerly of Żabbar and now residing in Dublin, Ireland. The marriage took place on April 2, 1959 at the R.C. church of "Ave Maria", Deggingen, in the Schawbische Alb, Germany. Today family and friends are gathered and attending a Mass of thanksgiving and celebration at this same church. Thank you for your care and support over the years. Love from your children Henriette and Paul, Stephen and Jill and your grandchildren Charlotte, Lyria, Sarah and Jack.
Mr GEORGE JONES and Miss MAY BONELLO Du PUIS
The marriage between GEORGE and MAY took place at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, on Thursday, April 2, 1959. Fr J. Jones, SJ, officiated. Congratulations and all our love, Simon, Cecily and Nicky, Clarissa and Jean-Paul and grandchildren Liam, Nicola, Ella and Edward.
Obituary
RIZZO. On April 1, our dearest baby DANIEL, aged three months, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his great loss his parents Christopher and Kerstin, née Serracino-Inglott. He will be sadly missed by his brother Timmy and his sister Martina, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Ta' l-Ibraġ parish church where a Missa de Angelis will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at the NPICU, Mater Dei Hospital, as well as all those who gave their support. May God welcome Daniel.
SALIBA - JOSEPH, aged 88. At Mater Dei Hospital, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters Maria, Doris, residing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, his sons Victor and Noel and their partners Nathalie and Daniela, his grandchildren Geoffrey and Marie Claire, his brother Gaetano and his wife Betty, residing in Australia, his sisters Stella, widow of Joseph Castillo, Giovanna, widow of Eddie Testa, Carmen and her husband Michael Micallef, Rita and her husband Joseph Busuttil, his in-laws, Fr Emanuel Buttigieg of Canada, Fortunata and her husband Anthony Abela Caruana, Loreta, widow of Joseph Pace, Helen, widow of Joseph Barbara and Doris Buttigieg, his aunt Giovanna Farrugia, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Doris Buttigieg, his sister-in-law, for all the help, moral and practical support she gave him during his final illness, and the staff at M1, Mater Dei Hospital.
VELLA. On April 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA CARMELA, known as Mary, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Rose Marie, her sisters Doris widow of Aronne Borg, Joyce widow of Lino Zammit, her brother Pawlinu and his wife Lydia, Minnie and her husband Freddie Tonna, her in-laws Mary and her husband Joe Saliba, Martha widow of Tony Grixti, nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for the St Paul's Collegiate parish church in Rabat where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza, Villa Mgr Gonzi, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
