Muhammed Kouruma, 29, from the Ivory Coast, resident of Bugibba, was remanded in custody today after pleading not guilty to having conspired to import cocaine and heroin last Tuesday.

Police Inspector Denis Theuma said Mr Kouruma, am illegal immigrant, was supposed to pick up the drugs from a Romanian man in a flat in Bugibba and was arrested on the way.

The accused was remanded in custody.
