A man was yesterday charged with trafficking heroin and cocaine.

Mario Farrugia, 38, from Sta Venera denied trafficking and being in possession of heroin and cocaine on Friday and in the past months. He also pleaded not guilty to committing the crime in an area less than 100 metres from a place frequented by youths.

Magistrate Miriam Hayman remanded him in custody.

Police Inspectors Elton Taliana and Robert Vella prosecuted.
