Brazilian delegation on Malta visit

The possibility of treaties between Malta and Brazil on double taxation relief and investment protection, as well as the strengthening of commercial relations, were discussed with a Brazilian delegation that recently visited Malta.

Answering a parliamentary question by Carmelo Abela (PL), Economy and Investment Minister Tonio Fenech said the delegation had visited Malta as part of the EU programme to provide opportunities for the enhancement of relations between member states and their Latin American counterparts.

The Brazilian delegation included Ministers of Economy, Commerce and Industry. They met various Maltese entities, including Minister Fenech.

The minister said such visits helped towards the establishment of structures to facilitate investment between the two countries and bilateral trade.
