Snoopy's launches culture and leisure events

Snoopy’s Restaurant and Lounge in Sliema has launched a weekly events schedule featuring an eclectic range of cultural and leisure events - from Pub Quiz on Thursdays and Live Jazz on Fridays – to themed fun parties and acoustic music events.

With Spring having just kicked in, Snoopy’s, together with Bicanter Wines, have launched a new weekly event dubbed ‘Cultured Club’, which will be held every Monday starting today. Event guests will be in for a treat with a weekly experience of fine wines, food specialties and educational discussions.

“This event will be as educational as it will be entertaining,” said Bicanter Wines director John Farrugia – who will be hosting the weekly appointment at Cultured Club. “Different wines will be sampled and explained throughout the schedule. Bicanter Wines is very pleased to have joined Snoopy’s in this initiative, as we both look forward to satisfy people’s curiosity on winemaking, varieties, tasting and appreciation.”

On her part, owner/chef Nicole Pisani said her team have prepared a number of mouth-watering delicacies - including Crepes with Salmon Carpaccio and Crème Fraiche, Grilled Polenta with root Vegetables and Blue Cheese dressing, Caramelised Banana with wafer thin cured pancetta and wasabi cream as well as Sushi cones with tempura white bait and Japanese coleslaw.

The wines chosen for the occasion were - The Stump Jump from D’Arenberg, Australia, as the white and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo from Masciarelli, Italy, as the red.

Cultured Club is held every Monday at 7.30 p.m. Participation includes wine sampling, and is free of charge. Since participation is limited to 20 people, interested partieshave to reserve their places by contacting David Darmanin on 9945 8567.
