Kim Cassar continued to sharpen her skills with participation in U-18 tournaments in Austria, Germany, Sweden and Tunisia.

Thanks to her showings, Cassar, 16, has now moved to no.276 in the European rankings, a huge progress considering she was no.781 almost 14 months ago.

In the singles events, Cassar reached the quarter-finals in Sfax, Tunisia, and Nuremberg, Germany.

In doubles, she also made it to the last eight of the tournament in Sfax, the semi-finals in Monastir and the final in Nuremberg.

Cassar's next competitions will be the U-18 ITF tournament and the Fed. Cup at Marsa in April.

Meanwhile, her style of play has caught the attention of tennis scouts from a club in Offenbach who offered the Maltese girl a contract.

In fact, in May, she will leave the country to play in the German Inter-Club Championships.
