Three persons were injured this afternoon in an accident which saw two cars overturn in Mdina Road, Qormi. A third car was extensively damaged while another two were slightly damaged.

The accident happened at about 1.20 p.m.

The rescue team of the Civil Protection Department was called to help the drivers out. They were rushed to hospital but their injuries are not thought to be serious.
