Every year, I make it a point to follow the companies taking part in the Young Enterprise programme. They always come up with very innovative ideas and this year is no exception.

MicroTech, one of the teams, developed an application for mobile phones that shows a list of restaurants and their details on demand. The fact that I could buy it off their website, www.microtechmalta.com, reflects the professionalism that the Young Enterprise organisation in Malta is encouraging the participants to aim for. I also had the opportunity to buy a luglight, a portable bulb that can be attached to the inside of my wife's bag, produced by Speed of Light, another Young Enterprise team.

I therefore encourage others to support all young entrepreneurs in the programme; after all, these youths are our future!
