April 27, Making Intellectual Property Rights Work for SMEs
This conference challenges businesses and governments to develop better support measures, to help European SMEs to flourish and use their full creative and innovative potential. The conference will be based on the intensive work of an expert group established by the European Commission on existing best practices and on the policy recommendations proposed in their report. A mix of European and national policy makers, IPR and IPR enforcement practitioners and SMEs will ensure a lively and practice-oriented debate about this key issue for EU businesses competitiveness and will discuss the policy recommendations of the expert group. The conference is expected to gather about 400 European policy makers, IPR professionals, innovation support organisations, business intermediaries and SMEs.
