Beer quality seminar at SFC
The art of serving a fresh perfect pint was highlighted during a beer quality and training seminar held at The Brewery of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc recently. The event was open to Wands Ltd trade clients who serve Guinness, Kilkenny and John Smith's beer on draught.
Around 60 clients attended the one day seminar which was conducted by Ray Scerri, dispense services manager at Simonds Farsons Cisk. He outlined the brewing manufacturing process and the ingredients needed to make a good quality beer. He also focused on the way to handle kegs and pour the perfect pint.
"International studies have revealed that serving a pint correctly adds value to the outlet and increases sales. Beer drinkers normally will keep on going back to the same pub when they find good quality beer. Good quality beer is critical for beer drinkers, even more than the price," Mr Scerri said.
The seminar was also attended by representatives from Guinness and John Smith's breweries who flew to Malta for the occasion.
