Finance Minister Tonio Fenech is in London to take part in a conference “Financial Services in Malta” being held to promote Malta's financial sector to the international financial community.
The conference, organised by the Financial Times in collaboration with FinanceMalta, will explain the key benefits that Malta offers to the international corporate investor, namely Malta's EU and eurozone membership, its educated and motivated workforce, the world-class ICT infrastructure and Malta's respected financial authority regulator.
FinanceMalta chairman Joseph Zammit Tabona, Governor of the Central Bank of Malta Michael C. Bonello, and MFSA chairman Prof. Joseph Bannister will also address the conference.
The conference has been overbooked and is expected to be attended by senior executives from banks, wealth management firms, fund managers and administrators and other executives from financial companies looking for international business and investment opportunities through Malta.
Mr Fenech will also meet a number of key people from renowned international advisory firms, with the aim of firming Malta's relationship with them and evaluating project opportunities in various sectors of the economy, including business services and manufacturing.
